چکیده
The article deals with the study on content of fecal short-chain fatty acids (SCFA) and their association insulin resistance in obese children. It was found that intestinal microflora children is characterized by changes qualitative composition increased metabolic activity microflora. A moderate increase HOMA-IR accompanied elevated concentration anti-inflammatory cytokines, which correlates acetic, propionic acid a decrease progression further level SCFA. Thus, modulation SCFA may be promising way therapeutic influence to correct obesity

Prevalence of Obesity, Dyslipidemia, and Insulin Resistance in Childhood Cancer Survivors
Background: With the increased survival rates following the treatment of childhood cancer, it becomes equally important that the need for evidence based surveillance of long term effects of cancer therapy is addressed. This includes the risk of development of metabolic syndrome features like obesity, altered lipid and sugar profile, which was attempted in the present study. Materials and Metho...
متن کاملAdipocytokine profile and insulin resistance in childhood obesity.
BACKGROUND Adipose tissue is a veritable "endocrine organ" due to its adipocytokines secretion implied in insulin sensitivity modulation and cardiovascular complications. OBJECTIVE To identify the adipocytokines' plasmatic profile (adiponectin, leptin, resistin, IL-6, TNFα) in obese children and adolescents and to assess their relationship with "classic" clinical/paraclinical markers of metab...
متن کاملObesity, hypertension and insulin resistance in childhood--a pilot study.
BACKGROUND Obesity and arterial hypertension are a serious risk factor for insulin resistance patients leading to diabetes and other disorders. Obesity is one of the most common nutritional problems in developed countries. Actually the incidence of obesity is increasing considerably, obesity is emerging in alarming rates between the last 10 years. Obesity and hypertension beginning in childhood...
متن کاملBiomarkers of Alzheimer disease, insulin resistance, and obesity in childhood.
OBJECTIVE To answer the question of whether onset of insulin resistance (IR) early in life enhances the risk of developing dementia and Alzheimer disease (AD), serum levels of 2 molecules that are likely associated with development of AD, the amyloid β-protein 42 (Aβ42) and presenilin 1 (PSEN1), were estimated in 101 preschoolers and 309 adolescents of various BMI. METHODS Participants (215 b...
متن کاملType 2 diabetes mellitus in childhood: obesity and insulin resistance.
As rates of childhood obesity climb, type 2 diabetes mellitus has increasingly been diagnosed in children and adolescents, with the highest incidence occurring among youth from racial and ethnic minority backgrounds. The serious complications associated with type 2 diabetes mellitus make it essential for physicians to be aware of risk factors and screening guidelines, allowing for earlier patie...
